User-feedback is at the backbone of every successful product. And as has been the case with all the WooCommerce extensions we’ve built, we’ve made sure we incorporate actual user feedback and feature requests to build genuinely helpful and valuable products.
This Scheduler for WooCommerce update is exactly about that – bringing to you a feature that was most in demand – and one that can greatly elevate the plugin’s functionality.
We bring to you – the “Notify me” feature.
Scheduler for WooCommerce v2.2.0 – Notify Me
Scheduler for WooCommerce is a plugin that lets you sell limited-time products on your e-store. It does that well. But we had been mulling for a while on how we could improve its operation to help you get the most out of the product-availability-purchase-expiry cycle.
The best way for us to get to know what you were looking for, was to ask for your feedback. Once that was done, we got a clear idea of what we had to work on next. And the feature that shot up to the top-most priority on our development list was – the “Notify Me” option.
Now, you can get a hold of genuine leads for expired products.
With this option, a Notify button is displayed on an unavailable product. An interested buyer can click this button to receive a notification once the product is available. Quite simple, isn’t it?!
All the buyer has to do is enter his email id (and you’ve gotten a hold of a hot lead).
Email Notification on Product Availability
Woo Scheduler takes care of sending the notification email too. But you have complete control. You can choose the time when the email has to be sent, from several options:
- As soon as the product becomes available,
- 1 Hr/ 1 Day/ 1 Week before the product becomes available,
- Or, a custom time duration in hours before product availability.
You can also customize the content of the notification email that’s sent to registered buyers using an option in the plugin.
And WooCommerce takes care of the rest.
It sends an email to notify potential customers or your product that’s back on your store for purchase, to increase the chances of a sale.
Comprehensive View of Registered Buyers
For each product, you can view and export the list of customers who’ve registered to receive product availability notifications. This should help you get an idea of the products that are the most in demand. You can further plan your stock options accordingly.
Polite Communication Option
This version of Scheduler for WooCommerce also includes useful shortcodes to maintain politeness in your communication with your customers and to also comply with the CAN-SPAM act. The [unsubscribe_link] shortcode can be used to add an “Unsubscribe” link in the communication emails; we encourage you to use it! 🙂
