6 Most Useful Reports for LearnDash Group Leaders and Admins

1. Top-level LMS Summary Report

As an admin, imagine you log in to your LearnDash LMS on a Monday morning. You want to get a basic rundown of what’s happening on your LMS.

Summary-level reports or overview reports in LearnDash help you understand what’s happening on your LMS at a glance.

These reports provide you with information such as: —

  • Total courses,
  • Total revenue earned,
  • Revenue from courses,
  • And numbers of enrollments, among others.

Taking a quick look at these reports can help you figure out which courses are bringing in the most revenue (these could be your best-selling courses), how many new learners are enrolling daily, weekly, or monthly, etc.

How it helps:

What courses are trending? Is there a difference in new enrollments? How many pending assignments are there? These are some of the questions that you can probably answer using summary-level reports.

2. Course Reports

Have learners started your course, are they in progress, or have successfully completed it? Course Reports such as: —

  • Course completion rate reports,
  • Time spent reports,
  • and Course Reports with a detailed summary,

are important to track how your learners are progressing in your courses.

Besides, you can also track how much time users spend in your courses as well as the average course completion rates.

How it helps:

A high completion rate can help you gain testimonials, case study stories, and reviews which are all necessary for marketing. If your course has low completion rates this means that your students will be less likely to share the course with others.

Succeeding students are most likely invested and engaged, which should indicate a good course design you can replicate or demonstrate to others.

3. Quiz Reports

Quizzes are a very important part of any online course.

They help learners retain information and are an easy metric to track. Quiz reports such as — quiz completion rate reports, time spent on quizzes reports, and learner pass rate reports,  help you get an overall understanding of the quiz performance of your learners.

However, detailed quiz reports and reports that show quiz attempt analysis or quiz question analysis help you view the answer breakdown for each learner. You can also check quiz scores,  the number of correct/incorrect answers, as well as points earned.

How it helps:

If learners seem to be struggling with a quiz, it could mean that the quiz is difficult. On the other hand, if the passing percentage is really high then the quiz might be too easy for your learners. Using this information, you can help you decide which quizzes you need to make changes to.

4. Group Course Report

Groups! Ahh.

In LearnDash, groups play a vital role in simplifying course and student management.

And as a group leader, you can easily track the progress and analyze the performance of all learners that have enrolled in your group courses easily if you have access to the right report.

Group Course Report in LearnDash can help you look up the identity of your enrolled users, their percentage completion, the date of completion, the time of completion, actual time spent in courses, and quiz scores, among other things.

How it helps:

You can use that data to quickly get a grasp of how much progress each learner has made. Report on learners who have successfully completed the course such as rewarding them with points or suggesting a more advanced course, among other things.

5. Group Quiz Reports

Let’s assume a scenario: You’re assigned as a group leader where all your group members have enrolled in a course such as “Basics of Marketing 101”.

And as a group leader, it’s important to analyze the performance of your group as a whole but also to pay attention to how each learner has done. And how they can further improve their performance.

In that case, using group quiz reports you can easily view the quiz results for all learners enrolled in that quiz. So, you don’t have to hunt for quiz data by switching in-between multiple tabs.

Group Quiz Reports can help you gain a lot of perspective by tracking various quiz metrics like:-

  • Average Quiz Score
  • Total Quiz Score
  • Individual Quiz Score
  • Time taken to complete the quiz
  • Correct/incorrect answers, among other things.

How it helps:

Get an overview as well as examine the quiz score and performance of each group member in detail.

6. User Activity Reports

Are you looking for a way to determine learners who are inactive? Have you ever wanted to keep a close tab on your learner’s activity?

If yes, then you can access this information using LearnDash reports.

In LearnDash, User Activity Reports can help you track your learner’s activity in your courses more accurately. It can help you track course completion activity, quiz attempts (pass/fail), and course visits, among other things.
