Website speed optimization

Project Duration

Single phase

Ofenakademie is an online learning website. The platform delivers course content through LearnDash, which means most real users experience the site after logging in, while opening lessons, browsing course pages, and moving through the learning flow.

Their focus was clear: improve overall speed, fix heavy images that were slowing down key pages, and make logged-in LearnDash usage feel faster and smoother.

The WisdmLabs Solution

What We Did About It

We focused on optimization steps that would improve load speed across devices and specifically address logged-in performance.

1

Page Caching

We fixed it by: implementing page caching to reduce repeated server work and speed up repeat page loads.
So now: key pages load faster and feel more responsive across sessions.

2

File Optimization (CSS, JS Minification and many more)

We fixed it by: applying file optimization techniques including CSS/JS minification and additional related improvements to reduce page weight.
So now: pages ship fewer heavy assets and render more efficiently.

3

Database Optimization

We fixed it by: optimizing the database to remove unnecessary overhead that builds up over time.
So now: the site stays cleaner and performs more consistently.

4

Image/LCP Optimization (WebP conversion, resize images, preload)

We fixed it by: optimizing images via WebP conversion, resizing unoptimized assets, and applying preload where needed for LCP-heavy elements.
So now: above-the-fold content loads faster, especially on mobile.

5

Logged in User Caching (WP Rocket User Cache feature - Testing and fixes)

We fixed it by: implementing WP Rocket’s User Cache feature and validating it with testing and fixes to ensure compatibility with logged-in LearnDash experiences.
So now: logged-in learners experience faster loads without breaking user-specific functionality.

This performance improvement was part of a broader effort focused on performance-driven WordPress development, ensuring long-term speed, stability, and scalability.
