They are building a community that brings people together through conferences (both online and offline) and also runs webinars and projects focused on topics related to economics. Their work spans multiple locations, with a team made up of people from Ireland as well as the US.
The Challenge
Real blockers that made the old website hard to operate day-to-day.
They decided WordPress fit these needs, and we planned how to replicate the required modules from the old website to the new one.
We focused on a WordPress plan that balanced admin control + speed, with custom development only where needed.
1
We fixed it by → analysing their website and creating a plan for what components would be needed in WordPress to replicate the old site’s modules.
So now → the core site structure could be rebuilt on WordPress while staying manageable.
2
We fixed it by →building custom development in a way that gave admins settings for almost everything they’d want to change (wording, creating new projects, etc.), so code changes wouldn’t be needed for routine updates.
So now →admins can handle minor changes without developer help.
3
We fixed it by → implementing the reimbursement module that was important to them on the current site.
So now → the site supports a key operational workflow they needed.
Result
The improvements went beyond surface-level metrics and delivered tangible business impact.
