Our client, Deborah Felicio, the IT and Systems Manager at Sense Media Events (AutoSens) is responsible for the technology that is used to run conferences.
AutoSens offers conferences, training and research offerings that are curated by a team of technical experts. They also provide training topics on ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and autonomous vehicle technology.
Their offerings are market tested with engineers to ensure what they deliver is current and relevant for the audience.
Over the years, AutoSens has become a very successful event. People attend these events from all over the world to keep up to date with the technologies, share experiences and meet potential clients.
“Everyone who visits our conference website is impressed. After attending countless virtual events in 2020, being called the best tool some users experienced was exactly what we hoped for. We’re known for delivering top in-person events, so replicating that experience online—and doing it with a fast, modern, streamlined platform—was incredible. This success has even inspired us to offer online conference management as a new product. None of this would’ve been possible without the talented developers involved, especially the WisdmLabs team.”

The Challenge
Our client wanted to bring the experience of a live conference to an online format while preserving its interactive and high-value nature. They weren’t just building a website—they were creating a full conference management platform that needed to deliver content, engagement, and sponsor visibility seamlessly.
Despite the tight deadline and the platform-level reconfiguration required, our team collaborated closely with the client to launch a fully functional virtual conference experience on time.
To transform a traditional 3-day in-person conference into an engaging virtual experience, our team designed a LearnDash-powered workflow that replicated the event’s structure and interactivity. The goal was to help users easily explore sessions, access relevant content, and enjoy a seamless learning flow throughout the conference.
1
Modified LearnDash terminology from courses to conferences to align with the event context.
2
Developed a custom template with tags and navigation tabs to link related sessions, showing refreshed tag lists when users clicked next or previous.
3
This visual structure made it easy for users to explore content and identify sessions of interest at a glance.
4
Implemented settings to hide unnecessary elements like the progress bar and renamed the Mark Complete button to suit event-specific terminology.
Integrated a bookmarking feature using a plugin, allowing attendees to save and revisit favorite sessions directly from their profile.
Together, these updates reimagined LearnDash into a fully functional conference platform—balancing structured content, smooth navigation, and meaningful engagement for both attendees and sponsors.
Result
✅ Reimagined Use of LearnDash: The platform now functions as a full-fledged conference management system with custom features layered on top of its core LMS capabilities.
✅ Easy Content Management: Custom functionalities empowered the client’s internal team to update and manage conference content independently, without relying on developers.
✅ Modern, Informative Layouts: Tailored templates made it easier to display key details like speakers, sessions, and sponsors in a clean, visually engaging format.
✅ Improved User Convenience: Attendees could now bookmark and revisit their favorite sessions anytime, enhancing their overall experience.
