GiveLearn teaches the soft skills hybrid work depends on: leadership, communication, and focus. Classes run live and on demand, and every class attended funds a global cause. Their old platform, Disciple, could not support that model, so the courses moved to LearnDash with three custom builds.

The Client

Few founders bring a Guinness World Record in endurance to eLearning.

GiveLearn, where learning gives back.

Founded by James Cluskey, former professional tennis player, Davis Cup representative for Ireland, and holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest doubles match at 60 hours straight. GiveLearn blends that endurance with purpose: professionals strengthen leadership, communication, and focus, and every class attended contributes to global causes through donations.

In Their Words

Years in, here's where the client stands.

A platform rebuilt from the ground up. A partnership that kept going.

We have worked with WisdmLabs for several years and would recommend it to anyone looking to develop their site or platform. We look forward to working with them in the future.

The Challenge

What do you do when the platform can’t keep up with the purpose?

Disciple hosted a community. James needed a closed, LMS-driven platform.

GiveLearn’s original home lacked the structure for a full LMS experience, and the vision asked for more: exclusive invite-only registration, donations flowing to B1G1 despite data format and link compatibility issues, and scheduling for recurring live masterclasses.

What exclusivity demanded

A door with a key.

  • Invite-only registration
  • Full enrollment control
  • Private content access
platform 2

What the mission needed

One unified platform.

  • Course delivery
  • B1G1 donations
  • Live scheduling

The real question

Courses, private access, live masterclasses, and global donations each had a workaround. GiveLearn didn’t want workarounds. The question was whether all four could run effortlessly under one cohesive system, and what it would take to build it.

The Non-negotiable

All in all, it came down to these 5 non-negotiables.

01

The platform had to move off Disciple, which lacked the structure and functionality for a full LMS experience.

02

Registration had to become private and invite-only, with full control over who joins and what they access.

03

Donations had to flow to B1G1 despite data format inconsistencies and link compatibility issues.

04

Live masterclasses needed built-in scheduling, ending manual coordination of recurring events and participants.

05

Everything had to live under one cohesive system: courses, private access, live scheduling, and global donations.

How His Store Got Built

One migration, two custom plugins, and a platform that fits.

Every part of the vision got its own build.

02 · Access & Giving

A private door, and a donation engine behind it.

The custom WDM Private Registration plugin makes access invite-only: admins generate and share private registration links, keeping full control over enrollments, with the system prepared for company administrators to add users directly. The custom WDM Givings plugin connects GiveLearn.net to B1G1, solving the data formatting and link generation issues so contributing to global causes takes no effort.

  • Invite-only entry Private links govern who gets in.
  • Ready to scale Company managers can add users directly, by design.
  • Giving, simplified B1G1 donations flow without format friction.

  • Sessions, self-managed Masterclasses scheduled and updated in-platform.
  • Coordination, retired Better event visibility with no manual juggling.
  • Courses, findable One library, filtered and categorized for learners.
