Visual Composer and Page Builder for WordPress

Listen to this article

A visual editor to compose and build your WordPress page or post can be a real time saver. For those who do not know how to style content using HTML and CSS, a drag and drop editor can especially help. Some of you might have used a visual editor to create and frame your web content. But for those like me, who have suffered from the horror of a really bad visual editor(I won’t take names here) , I am really glad to have found the Visual Composer Plugin for WordPress.

What is a Visual Editor?

A visual editor or composer basically allows you to create structures, such as columns, rows, tabs or add content like image gallery, call to action buttons, maps, etc. using a visual interface. You can pick from a menu and add elements or drag and drop structures to order content.

The Visual Composer plugin offers you an extraordinary editor which you can use to create any kind of layout you prefer.

Reuse Saved Layout Templates

The Visual Composer plugin allows you to create any kind of layout you need. You can create a multiple column layout, create rows, etc. Every element you add can be placed in a section of the layout. There is an option provided to save each layout you create as a template. These templates can be reused when creating additional pages with similar content.

Visual Composer Backend

The Front End Editor

The ‘piece de resistance’ of this plugin, I believe, is the front end editor, which allows you to edit the content directly from the post or page. By viewing how the element directly looks on a page, you can have better judgment of how to style and structure it. It saves a lot of time, than you having to switch back and forth, between the site backend and frontend while creating a page. Do bear in mind, you need a bit of patience though while making edits, because there is a bit of learning involved.
