With the newly introduced “Scheduled Imports” feature in CSP, you can schedule the CSP rule file for import as follows.
Schedule Intervals
- Date & Time: Schedule the file to import on a specific day & time.
- Daily: Schedule the file to import every day at the specified time.
- Weekly: Import the specified file every week on a selected day & at the selected time.
Files to be imported
The file to be imported can be specified by one of the following methods.
- File URL: Specify the URL of the file in the field provided.
- FTP/SFTP : Fetch & import the file from FTP/SFTP server.
In FTP/SFTP, the “Test Connection” button will allow you to check whether entered credentials are working.
List of Scheduled Imports.
A list of already scheduled import tasks will be displayed in the top section as follows.
On expanding the details of the schedule will be displayed.
If the scheduled has triggered the import in the past the report of the last import will be available for download & listed at the bottom section.
Notes & Recomendations
- In the case of FTP/SFTP prefer creating the new user & assign limited(read-only) permissions for the FTP/SFTP access.
- It is recommended to enable system crons instead of using the wp-crons.
