With this feature, you can conveniently schedule daily or weekly backups.

The system will automatically create and store these backups at the specified times, providing peace of mind that your CSP rules are consistently safeguarded against potential data loss or corruption. This automated backup process saves time and ensures that your configurations can be quickly restored, minimizing downtime and maintaining the seamless operation of your site.

The “maximum backups to store” field allows you to control the number of backups retained on your server, ensuring optimal storage management.

For example, if you set the limit to 7 backups, the system will automatically delete the oldest backup file whenever a new backup is created, maintaining the specified number of backups.

This feature is particularly useful in various scenarios:

  • Rolling back recent changes: If you need to revert recent modifications made to the CSP rules, having multiple backups ensures you can restore to a previous state effortlessly.
  • Migrating CSP rules: Whether transferring CSP rules from a staging environment to a live site or moving them between different instances, having scheduled backups simplifies the migration process.

This functionality leverages the WooCommerce action scheduler, and it is recommended to use system cron jobs for optimal performance and reliability. This ensures that backups are created and managed seamlessly, providing peace of mind that your CSP rules are safely preserved and easily recoverable.
