The client, Artist Warehouse Online, was looking to improve their current website. They were primarily looking at restructuring their website by moving their e-commerce store to WooCommerce and WordPress.
They also needed custom functionality to be added to help customers filter products easily.
How did we Provide a Solution?
To provide a light-weight solution, we suggested using the Genesis framework. Upon further discussions with the client, we decided on building a custom theme. The client provided us PSDs, which we then converted to theme layouts.
A major functionality created, as part of the solution to be provided, was an advanced product filter module.
There were hundreds of products added in the store. A potential buyer could filter products using the categories added in the primary and secondary navigation menu. However, some products had variations.
To help buyers select a particular variation, the client wanted an interactive filter. Based on the clients requirements and PSDs provided, we provided an interactive, image-based step-wise product filter.
To help the client easily set up products which could be filtered using product attributes, we made the needed changes in the backend as well.
