As a website owner you would like your instructors to not update any live courses or even if they wish to do, the course should be reviewed by you or someone else.
The course review feature will help you do just that.
Course Reviews allow the site admin to review any changes made to any course or any course step ( i.e. Lesson, Topic or Quiz ) by an instructor.
Follow the below steps to set it up
Enable Course Review
The administrator can enable course reviews from the instructor settings from LearnDash LMS → Instructor under the Settings Tab.

Review Process
Send Course for Review
Once the Review Course setting is enabled, Instructors would see a notification whenever they try to Publish or Update a course from either the dashboard or Frontend Course Builder.


Once a course is sent for review its status is set to Draft and on the course listing page they can see a new column named Pending.

Approve Changes
To approve a pending course the Admin can see a button at the right side of the course edit page named ‘Approve Instructor Update‘.


If the admin clicks on this button then the changes made by the Instructor in the course will be approved.
The approvals can either be made on the course page or the individual lesson, topic and quiz page.
Review and Approval Notification Emails
Every time a course is sent for review an email notification is sent to the administrator.
The administrator email and the email content can be configured from the Email settings tab.

Similarly, when an administrator approves the instructor updates, an email is sent to the instructor.
The approval email content can be configured from the Email settings tab.
