There are some settings available that can help set up various email notifications for instructors.
There are different types of email settings to help configure emails to be sent for a course or product reviews, course purchases, and quiz completion.
Review Emails
The admin can customize the emails to be sent when a course or a product is reviewed from the LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Emails Notification.
There are 2 sections for configuring review emails for Courses and Products.
Under each tab, there are settings to configure the review emails with shortcodes that can be used as placeholders for dynamic data related to course, product or instructors which is sent to the administrator and instructor automatically.
Quiz Completion Emails
Instructors can now also receive an email notification for quizzes taken by students. This email is sent to the course author as well as the shared course authors, if any.
To activate this feature login as the admin, go to LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Instructor Settings.
Check the “Enable email notification for Instructors on quiz completion” option.
Instructors can also design their own email templates for the email notifications sent.
To create the email template, Instructors can navigate to LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Email under the Quiz Completion from their Dashboard.
If this email is not configured or is empty, the admin can configure the fallback email setting under LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Email Notification under the Quiz Completion Tab.
Note: This email will not be triggered for a specific Instructor if the corresponding email is setup on that Instructor’s Dashboard.
Instructor Course Purchase Emails
Instructors can also design and receive an email notification every time their course is purchased through WooCommerce similar to what we have in the Quiz Completion Emails.
To activate this feature login as the admin, go to LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Instructor Settings.
Check the “Enable email notification for Instructors on quiz completion” option.
Once the above setting is enabled, a tab setting is to the instructors under the LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Instructor Emails menu.
Instructors can use this to design their own email template for the course purchase email notifications sent.
Also. they can access various course details to be sent in the course purchase emails using the shortcodes(placeholders) mentioned on the page.
If this email is not configured or is empty, the admin can configure the fallback email setting under LearnDash LMS → Instructor → Email under the Course Purchase Tab.
Note: This email will not be triggered for a specific Instructor if the corresponding email is setup on that Instructor’s Dashboard.
